For students regularly enrolled in PPGEFE

Research Abroad 

Any student undertaking a research exchange abroad, whether funded by grant agencies or self-funded, must mandatory inform the Graduate Committee prior to the start of their stay. 

Procedures
Before traveling:

Submit the following form to the Graduate Office, attaching the research project and the schedule of planned activities.

After returning - Inclusion of the exchange in the Student Record (minimum duration of 30 days): :

Submit the form below, attaching the activity report and a signed letter from the supervisor abroad or the host institution (on official letterhead), confirming the completion of the research and the respective period. Documents will be reviewed at the first meeting following their submission

For International Students

To undertake a research exchange at the EEFERP Graduate Program, international students must send the following documentation through the responsible faculty member (accredited in PPGEFE) to cpg90@usp.br: 

  1. Application for international graduate mobility
  2. Recommendation letter from the advisor abroad.
  3. Letter from the home institution confirming the applicant's enrollment.
  4. Formal opinion from the USP supervisor (who must be an accredited advisor in the program) accepting the student.
  5. Research plan indicating the start and end dates of the project.
  6. Schedule of activities to be carried out at USP during the specified period.
  7. Copy of international health insurance.
  8. Student photo (3×4 cm). 

All exchanges must be approved and ratified by the EEFERP Graduate Committee (CPG). In-person enrollment will take place after CPG approval.

For stays longer than 90 days, provide

  • Passport with student visa.
  • National Migration Registration Card (CRNM).
  • Copy of the Undergraduate Diploma and Academic Transcript.
  • Original documents of the copies sent via email. 

In exceptional cases, the foreign student may present their passport with a student visa along with the appointment confirmation for the migration registry (RNM). After the Federal Police appointment, the student must submit the protocol/document with the RNE number to the office within 15 days to regularize their registration. 

For stays shorter than 90 days, provide: 

  • Passport.
  • Copy of the Undergraduate Diploma and Academic Transcript.
  • Original documents of the copies sent via email. 

Upon completion of activities, regardless of the duration at USP, the student will receive a Certificate of Participation in the Mobility Program.
