Do I need to have a Lattes curriculum to apply for a graduate program?

Yes. Register your CV in the CNPq website. .

 

How can I participate in classes as a non-registered or special student?

The status of non-registered student does not exist at USP. As for the special student (not affiliated with USP's graduate program), the candidate may register in the periods defined by the Graduate Commission, upon presentation of the following documents: access website. See Articles 54 and 55 of the USP Graduate Regulations.

 

As a graduate student at USP, can I register in course in any of the graduate programs at USP?

Yes. Consult courses availability and selection criteria in the Janus System.

 

I am not a post-graduate student at USP, can I register in courses in any of the post-graduate programs at USP?

Yes. See guidance for registering as a special student in this website.

 

Can I register in courses outside USP?

The student may take a maximum of 1/3 of the total credits required in courses by the Program in which he/she is registered (Article 67 of the USP Post-Graduate Regulations), in stricto sensu graduate programs outside USP.

To request validation of credits, access the Janus system, “Requirements” menu, and include an attachment: Certificate of completion (containing: period of completion of the course, workload, grade and frequency), course’s content and Capes grade of the Program in which the course was concluded.

 

Can I cancel my registering in a course?

Yes, up to 1/3 from the starting date of the course. Cancellation can be done through the Janus System or a specific form submitted to the Program Secretary, as long as it is within the deadline stipulated in the course plan. After this period, the student will fail, with register of failure appearing in his/her transcript.

 

Under what circumstances can I cancel the registration?

Consult article 46 of the Graduate Regulations.

 

I missed the deadline to register for the qualifying exam, what happens now?

You will be automatically disconnected from the Program, in accordance with section VI of article 49 of the USP Graduate Regulations.

 

I missed the follow-up registering deadline, what happens now?

Fill out the course registering request form, which can be found in this website, and apply it to the Program Office.

Can I change the advisor?

Yes. Consult Article 77 of the USP Graduate Regulations.

See Article 18 of  CAPES Ordinance No. 76 of April 14, 2010.

 

Who can apply for the PAE program?
