Portuguese Language Proficiency
 

Foreign candidates, in addition to proficiency in the English language, will also be required, at the time of registration for the selection process, to be proficient in the Portuguese language, which must be proven by means of a certificate of approval in:

- CELPE-BRAS exam, from the Federal Government.

 

Foreign Language Proficiency

Candidates will be required, at the time of registration for the selection process, to be proficient in a foreign language, which must be proven by means of a certificate of approval in an exam taken at one of the following institutions recognized by the CPG/EEFERP:

    • TEAP (Test of English for Academic and Professional purposes) in the area: health/biological, obtained in the last three years. Minimum score of 70 points.
    • IELTS (International English Language Testing System); obtained in the last three years. Minimum score of 5.
    • CAMBRIDGE FCE earned within the last five years. Minimum level Grade B
    • CAMBRIDGE CAE obtained within the last five years. Minimum level Grade C
    • TOEFL ITP (Institutional Testing Program) obtained in the last three years. Minimum score of 70.
    • TOEFL IBT (Internet Based Program) obtained in the last three years. Minimum score of 500.

Proficiency exams in Portuguese and English will be considered valid for admission to the course when carried out within 5 (five) years before the candidate's registration date in the selection process.
